    My Merc dealer just called! THE 400 IS IN !!!! wasn't supposed to be in until June 20. I'm so happy!!

    As of a couple months ago, Mercury would not cover running a foot throttle and hand throttle together. Even if you buy the push button to switch them from Mercury. Here is the deal, a boat was being operated with a single lever hand throttle and foot throttle. The driver was on plane running around 50 mph and hit the button to switch modes and the motor went wide open for about 10 seconds before returning to idle. Let's just say the individual driving thought he was a goner. It can be done properly and I was taught by the top dogs how to do it, but told not to for now.

    I'm shocked they allow a switchover in gear. Someone didn't think that through.......

    I had the same switch on John's Talon and it would let you switch while in gear, that is why we removed it.

    This could add real excitement to someones day at the ramp or in a crowded no wake area. I hope everyone is able to keep their head together enough to grab the tether cord just like grabbing the clutch on a bike when something goes wrong...
