The small boat hi performance outboard market.

I know John Tiger touched on this and there was a conversation or two on this at the MHB party last night. I am only posting this link for consideration and a discussion/reference point. Notice the MSRP of this high zoot snowmobile. Just sayin'.

Market must not be too good on the small boats....I've had a 60mph 10 footer with Merc 25 for sale for several years!!! It's now set for 6 years and the price was lowered knowing the rubber, carb kit and such will need attention but still, no buyers!!!

Market seems to be pretty healthy if you include personal watercraft. I know its not the same thing but seems obvious most folks prefer them to a small outboard boat.

    Introduce ... ????

I fondly remember the early seventy's ... six forward gears and seven neutral's ...

    https://blog.ktm.com/tbt-throwback-t...enton-and-ktm/

PS .. Power , no need to worry about the EPA . Trump sent them all to the global warming summit . Where they got snowed in . He has vowed to have them dug out sometime in 2024 ...

they are some kind of DFI apparently?
Some aftermarket guys are making efi/dfi conversion kits for bikes as well, looks like via cylinder wall rather then head

Up until this year I bought a new $16,000 snowmobile every year. I would lose over $4000 on trade in from year to year. Manufacturer greed has ruined that sport. I now keep them for quite a few years.

I think maybe the point is how can you buy an entire snowmobile for less than an outboard motor?
And Ill bet the outboard market is much larger.

he is a bit slow in that video
weve been on euro 6 with new stuff for 3 years already.
not a chance of a 2 stroke here on the streets, but like the rest of the world if its for racing then the emission's do not count.

if I was to be in the situation of buying a new outboard I could buy a new stroke, as I am always racing ha ha .
