Merc lower keeps pushing out prop shaft seals...?
Merc lower probably a 1986 preload case keeps pushing the inner and outer oil and water seal out against the thrust washer wat can I do to fix it or waste the reason...? The prop shaft seals

Usually overfilling. You want to let about a half ounce to an ounce drain back out before you install the plug to allow for expansion.

loctite the seals in and let it sit overnight before filling.

Ok cool that makes sense I was filling it to the top and not letting much run out at all..thinking the more the better wat tool or size pipe fits to tap the seals back in..

Like posted above clean your seals and housing with acetone and use a Loctite 609 or 620 retaining compound and they should stay in place.

Another thing that will cause that is the shift shaft bushing being packed with grease. I would suggest replacing the shift shaft bushing and a light cote of grease on the seal. (Just enough to lube seal) That seal is designed to relieve pressure as oil heats up from use. If not venting correctly the propshaft seals are the only seals that are not retained by a shoulder and will push out. Of course loctite the new seals in. Good luck.
