    Thumbs up

Todd, Very nice! Even though a 400 is not my motor of liking, really like the simplicity and clean look of this boat!....

    Screaming Eagle Boats

    Todd
Very nice package. I am curious to see how it sits in the water with the extra weight of the 400R. Have you got any photos of the boat sitting in the water? Does it sit low in the back and bow high? Keep the great boats coming.
    Thanks
    Gary

Todd - I've been following your Talon 22 revival for some time. You are doing an awesome job and they just keep getting better and better. This latest build looks like a great combination. I plan to get back into a smaller tunnel again at some point and I can definitely see getting back into a Talon.

In the 1990's I owned a Talon 22 and have a question about the new interior. It definitely looks great and much more plush compared to the factory original interior that came out of Sarasota FL. How much higher is the seat compared to original? It looks like the seats are on tracks and bottom cushion is fairly thick.

I'm only 5'6" and my wife is 5'. The attached pic shows how low we sat and the wind fairing did a great job of deflecting just enough wind over our heads. You really sat 'in' the boat and didn't get a lot of wind, which I liked. How much taller is the XL deck and have you built one of those with the new interior?

Again, great job bring back this awesome hull and thanks for sharing all of your progress!

Hi Dave, Thank you for the compliments. The interior is custom built to your specifications as far as how much foam you want or do not want. The white boat had a lot of foam in it. I am 6'2" and weigh about 215, so it had me a little higher sitting for me. Yes, the seats are on slide rails so they adjust front to back. The driver seat was set for John and I never slid it back and probably should have as it had 4" of rear travel left.

Let me know anytime you want to talk about the boats we build.

    Thanks again,

    Todd

Have you had any orders for the 22XL built for twins? That thing would be a rocket. Great looking boats.
    Thanks

Yes, we actually have a twin 22 SS with 300xs and XL with 300xs coming up in future builds. The XL may take longer as I am reworking the deck mold now. I don't like the rear hatch and the way it slide over the sides. The sides will be molded in and have a smaller flat hatch like the SS, but all flat.

When do you anticipate starting the twin 22SS? Is it already sold? That one really interests me as you know I am thinking about converting my Cougar 22MTR over to twin 300X motors. I hope you post on this thread or start a new one on that build. Keep them coming.
    Thanks
    Gary

I will definitely contact you when the time comes. Getting a kid through college among other things..
Looking forward to seeing the new deck for your 22XL. It would be interesting to see how a 22XL with a single 400R looks and runs.
    Thanks,
    Dave

That is a Talon 22 XL splash that I am going to make time this winter to take care of Rusty from Ultra on. He was served with cease and decist letters from my attorney years ago and chose to ignore them. I paid to much for these molds and have spent more than I paid for them to have the original Talon molds and to bring them back to life.

I personally talked to Rusty today and told him we would be ceasing the molds. He says they belong to a guy in California. He said he will give me his name so I can have him served. We will see.

Ok, per Rusty molds belong to a Joey Anwar in Corona California, so we will see where this goes.
