Lake Harris Chain sat 17th

A few of us are going to the Lake Harris chain of lakes near Tavares this saturday

If anyone would like to join we'll be at the ramp around 9:30ish....always a great time over there

Where do you guys put in? I have never been on the water other then right in front of the docks in Tavares.

The ramp we use is right off hwy 19 on lake Harris.

That ramp on 19 is great, not sure how busy it gets on weekends but it's got to be better than the ramp on 441, that one is a zoo. I also like the "hidden" ramp in Eustis off Lakeshore.

Im headed up on Oct 1st as the CRA group runs first saturday every month.

Do you run around all the lakes your just hangout in a few lakes, I am going to try to make up there then.

I am wanting to go run up there, just this Saturday is a bad day for me, hopefully soon.

Craig,We usually ride through the Dora canal into lake Eustis and have lunch...then make are way back.

If you're putting in lake Harris then it's dead river into lake Eustis and Dora canal into lake Dora. Dora canal is long, slow and boring but there's some good food in Mt. Dora but I don't know what's available for public docks. The Crazy Gator in Eustis is right at their city docks so it's convenient and you don't need to waste 1/2hr in Dora canal and there's a place, I think it's now called hurricane wings, on dead river.

my dad used to live in Tavares and had a center console on lake Harris

We run from lake Harris to Eustis then lake Dora and back.

wish i could ride saturtday but gotta work and it is a beautiful ride i ride it all the time and my kids love the dora canal. yall have a good time and be safe. justin get with me ahead of time next time
