Hmmmmm....red sky in morning....

Big change in the weather this morning, much less summer like.
Will there be rain?
Will there be wind?
Will there be big waves?
Squalls?...Thunder?.....Tornado?....Locusts?Living in the Freedom provided by Bud Conner and his fellow warriors.

Just watched every local weather report, basically - they don't know when / if pop up storms will hit.
Sand Island Bash Facebook page says the event is still on, if they change their mind, they will post by 9:30A.1983 Shadow 21, Yamaha 250 HPDI

Really not seeing anything out there that bothers me at all. Very, very slight chance of a shower or two.

No change in status, Pete. Looks like it's on.
We are going to head over in a little while, see how it looks as we go. Probably launch out of Edinburg, less ramp traffic.1983 Shadow 21, Yamaha 250 HPDI

well, launched at Grandview Marina at 8:50, proceded towards Sand Island and was flagged down by a trio<script id="gpt-impl-0.6437074628533506" src="http://partner.googleadservices.com/gpt/pubads_impl_95.js"></script> in a disabled Larson cruiser so being the generous liberal I am towed them to their pad [small bay on the other side of SI] and cruised to Northhampton, Northville and the launch..... nothing/no one. Went back to SI, maybe 20 boats, starting to drizzle, found George and his Liberator, talked a little and decided the Rain God was having his way, returned to Grandview and Bruce suggested I wait out the rain but decided cold wet and lonely had had enough, pulled out came home to my Adirondack Paradise! Heedless to say at 5 o'clock the lake's a mirror, the sun's shining and I'm missing SI Blast. All wasn't lost though cuz I did help a stranded boater. Trust y'all had fun!!
