    Yamaha 25 3 Cylinder

Wanted to get opinions on this cowling I set up on my Yamaha. I fiber glassed this scoop in and painted the motor myself. Would forced induction help, or could possibly hurt performance. Foam packed in scoop while towing my boat etc. Also I am inquiring on having this motor ported , 12p turbo, cmc pt130, hydrotec head and tuner, tohatsu M40D carbs, Yamaha 40 reed block, Chris Carson reeds, revlimiter removed, fully loaded running 34mph with dual batteries, two bank minn kota charger under front deck 80lb trolling motor

    Thanks Casey

How big is your boat? My old 30hp ran 38 mph with a power tech sra3 13p. I used 125 jets because the stock 122's in the 40hp carbs were lean. You can't find them for the tohatsu anymore, but these work great http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/ya...343-63-00.html
The 2 cylinder yamaha uses the same carbs as the tohatsu 40hp.

I know someone that's running a modified 2 cylinder yamaha and everything was done by hydro tech. Port work, head, bored carb, reeds and tuner. There's plenty that can be done, but I only have hands on experience with the 3 cylinder.
