I would not recommend it - would require a complete re rig. You would be removing a lot of expensive stuff to do it. The boat was specifically built for a single.
With the right prop and a little seat time you probably could get it to run right at 100.

Just what I was thinking. Even if merc just tested one this would be the hull to do it to let us know that motor works on something we would use it for. I would think it would be a success if it pushed this boat to any better than 103-105 range if it's true that this is a high 90s boat with a lil playing around with as is

Awsome boat and sweet motor!!!! Whoever gets this nice ride......don't do a fourstroker . It'll probably porpoise like hell and run 10mph slower...haha

Maybe. But someone has to try it. And it's the perfect tweener boat that people always debate 1-2. I've seen a few threads that argue weather a 24 skater could b set up and run past the hop w 1 motor. Obviously this boat does it with a X. Figure it's 150 more pounds than a X motor. You see them all the time with a pair of 2.5 200/225s. So it's the same power and about 200# less. Not saying it will work or wouldn't but someone gotta try it. If it does work it will go on a lot of people wish list. Someone has to try it for all our benefits. Either way georgous boat that should sell quick. The last 24 skater ever built.... Piece of history. You see all these Linder 21s in mint shape going for close to 30k and this is ALOT more boat. Glws... Wish I had the coin right now...

This is a very special piece, I think Dans boats speak for themselves-every one that he has owned have been perfect from what I have seen. It is the last "Classic 24 built", mine was the last before this one which is a 97' but the last 24 skater made was the flat deck in 05' with the 1/4 canopies.Joe
