Mikey cant be all that bad. He loves my Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo and WOOFS my Biscuits and Red Eye Gravy. And at the Plymouth Grand Nationals he didn't stop stuffing his yapper with my Dry Rubbed Smoked Ribs and Dry Rubbed Smoked Boston butt. Then Sunday we had Pulled Pork Sandwiches from the left over Butt. And He didn't turn his nose up pouring my homemade BBQ (Ketchup free) Sauce all over those buns
. Now If I can just get him broke of his Okra Phobia there might be some hope for him.
But Bud wont be cooking this year. Bud will be racing. No time to cook.Last edited by HStream1; 02-09-2016 at 06:03 AM.

Dammit, now i'm hungry. I gotta smoke up some bbq with buttonwood and fry some okra. I use a DRY rub and then homemade Carolina sauce with no catsup on mine...Fresh homemade buns and homemade sweet slaw on top made with cranberries and pineapple bits in it......And you can't forget the sweet tea.....Oh yeah, last but not least, some cherry crunch for desert with vanilla ice cream on top. Served warm.

Buds mac and cheese is killer also. Buddy bring your kitchen, who knows you might get sent To The Trailer early and have plenty of cooking time.

They dry rub the butts before they cook them In NC, the sauce is the vinegar based stuff for the most part. Hard to find the sweet or savory ketchup based sauces at restaurants here or SC either one. Texas is the sweet sauce state.
