No, I'm going to leave it at the new cabin in Tenn. That was the whole reason to build the new cabin with a big garage.

I thought about running the sportmaster on the 250, and I still might, but I'd need to change out the gearcase studs. The sportmaster studs are 1/2" longer.

Sweet come boating with us at Watauga lake sometime. About a 45 minute drive from your cabin. We are in Carter County but Watauga is the coolest closest lake to you. Douglas is nowhere near as picturesque and is over developed for the size. Watauga is 75% surrounded by Cherokee National Forest and to this point undeveloped and a lot more mountainous. You should come visit, our home is right across the street from a big private marina where you could park and use the ramp.

When I got this boat new, it ran 78 with a stock 225 Opti without a windshield. Once I made the windshield, it would run 75.

I cut 3" off the top front area of my windshield and it worked very well and still gives you some protection.

I made my windshield from fiberglass. (Took me a week) It's a little taller. I drove it a year without a windshield and it REALLY SUCKED!!!

It is much better with some wind shelter at high speeds, but with no 'windshield' the 'Wind Flaps' actually work great and don't harm the speeds as much.

    Redo looks nice....

Has anybody else noticed how well the styling has held up on boats like this? We're talking 25+ year old boats that still look great with only minor updates! Nice work Randy!

    Those flaps work very well!
Some type of protection is a must for me!
Removing the 3"+ made a great improvement for me plus it removed the reverse bend which acted like a brake.
    Before cutting.

    After cutting.
