Thats for sure, the world (west) Is in uncharted territory now.
I do a bit of yacht racing with a few investment bankers and everytime we meet they just shake their heads and say we cant believe how much debt is out there now.
They know, a country only makes money when you make something and sell it or live on an oil well or gold mine.

2015 ended with unemployment the lowest since 2007 and with the Fed starting the rate tightening cycle to avoid overheating.

    Let's see what 2016 brings...

Sure! I believe the left controlled news too! Look at some the FACTS instead! Stock market heating up? Right?.. look at it now and all losses in the last week?? DOWN almost 7%. And that was all because of china. Rates here damn near ZERO for 7 YEARS and the fed did a "symbolic gesture" of 1/4 point increase? Drop in the bucket and markets reacted ..well, they didn't react.
Unemployment at 5%? Freaking joke. Lies and statistics, no facts. Plus did ya ever think "seasonal" P/T hiring holidays?
But the NUMBER ONE biggest bamboozle known is simple. Crap ALWAYS gets rosy in a prez election year doesn't it? Amazing!

The press can't talk gloom and doom 100% of the time, people would go nuts. Try Canada for expensive , everything from gas to groceries like you wouldn't believe. High test at $1.21/L , ground beef at =$7/lb. Broccoli $4, we never had it so good.

We have a 13% sales tax and our Prov. Gov. is near $300B in debt and our pop. is tiny. But that's OK , its getting so you can't take a wiz in the woods .

3 years ago state debt. Add the fed debt at now 18 trillion, and be 20 before bozo gets lost and "everything is rosy" ? And REMEMBER that states MUST balance the budget yearly (think more tax on ANYTHING), unlike the fed.

Aug 28 (Reuters) - America's 50 state governments owe $4.19 trillion, including outstanding bonds, unfunded pension commitments and budget gaps, according to a new report.

At $617.6 billion, California had by far the biggest total debt, more than twice the total of No. 2, New York, with $300.1 billion owed, according to State Budget Solutions, a research and non-partisan advocacy group.

Texas, with $287 billion owed, New Jersey, with $282.4 billion, and Illinois, with $271.1 billion, ranked next among states with the biggest total debt, according to State Budget Solutions. Vermont had the smallest debt load at $5.85 billion.

The annual study said state governments had benefited in the last year from smaller budget gaps and reductions in loans taken from the federal government during the worst of the Great Recession to pay unemployment claims.

Those trends helped reduce total debt, which includes medical insurance due retired government workers, from last year's $4.24 trillion of total debts owed by the 50 states, according to State Budget Solutions.

"Our states are in trouble and no amount of budget gimmicks, political posturing or hiding bills will fix the massive debt that they face," said Bob Williams, president of State Budget Solutions. "Drastic reforms, innovations and political courage are needed to put our states back on the road to fiscal survival."

The way they don't count everyone out of work always seem stupid to me.

    Read this---> http://useconomy.about.com/od/suppl1...yment_rate.htm

"In the widely reported unemployment rate (U-3), the BLS only counts those who have looked for a job in the past four weeks as unemployed. They're included in the labor force because their jobless situation is only temporary (hopefully).

Once they haven't looked for a job in the past four weeks are no longer counted as unemployed or in the labor force. The BLS adds them to a group it calls the marginally attached."

Labor force participation increased too. What is still missing is wage growth, though:

Robby, there are countries where you can trust the national statistics. The US certainly belongs to that group of countries.

There are also countries where you can't, such as Argentina, Nigeria and China.

Beef is actually cheaper than it was 5 years ago, although not by a whole lot.

Pork, wheat and corn have all come down significantly in price along with pretty much every other agricultural commodity.

If you don't notice it in your grocery store, you should buy your food elsewhere.
