the one in the 3rd shot is named "Purple Haze", I communicated with the guy a good # of years back when he had it for sale for 20k. small block cheby with duel Gail Banks turbochargers. his comment that most rang true to me was how expensive outboards were. there's a Beautiful pic on the "sexyest boat pics" thread of it from above, I'll try to find it, just flew back from Lauderdale and am ready to crash. fun out

    Cool

here you go, hit the "show full" and upsize the picture. this paint and pinstripe job is timeless, referring to Parker's comment of how the design seems dated. I don't care, cool is cool.

That's Greg Banks' Unlimited Outboard running against that 6.0 Liter Tunnel. He regularly wins the "King of the River" races against all classes (BAD boats, Blown Lites, 6.0 liter displacement and 6.0 liter tunnels).

No, the KRB F1 boats are standard 17' 6" (or so) outboard tunnel hulls. That 6.0 liter tunnel is an Australian built KT Tunnel, and is probably somewhere between 18' - 20'. Silverwing tunnels are 20' 0", not 23' - they just look big because they're wide for their length - 8' 0" wide.....

This has about 750LBs worth of motors sitting on the transom. A single 400ROS would be interesting.
