Anyone going to Tavares this weekend?

I know its the Suwanee weekend but we already has a cottage rented in Mt Dora and not refundable. We will be at the Tavares classic boat regatta in the white Paramount CC. Say hello if you see us.

    Cool

Finally got clearance for a window of downtime slated for tomorrow the 13th. I've had reservations for 2 months and had to change them last night. we're staying fri and sat nite, hope to arrive before dark. had to cancel golf event, suked. I'm supplying companys in Puerto rico with raw materials lost in the sinking of the "El Faro" been bustin ass the last month. looking foreward to some relaxed time observing some AWSOME vintage equipment. not sure if I have the energy to volunteer, but if they need help, I'll bring some work clothes. hope to see you guys there. this group needs members to keep this deal going. Fun Out

    Keith,

Talk them to actually letting guys race some old boats not just show them. They already have apba as a sectioning body and safety crews are already on site. I would love to put a group of old mod vp boats together with 200 hp motors like they do out West. It wouldn't be expensive and I am sure we could put a field of ten or more boats together (spectators would love it as well). Have a good weekend, see you at the antique show in March.

Well the weekend is over and you guys who stayed home missed quite a show. Over 65 vintage boats but only about 2 dozen of them were inboard hydro's. The rest were outboards. They ran heats from small outboards( 70-80 HP Vee bottoms) up through outboard tunnels, I/O Donzi's( that red one is SICK fast), Vintage Molinari's with Evinrude CCC and Johnson RS's on them and of course the THREE switzer wings. Quite a show and almost all outboards. A lot of vintage equipment there. If you thought about going and stayed home, man you missed it!!!!!!

And as always nothing but stock 1500 mercs showed up to play. Nothing to challenge the CCC or the Stingers or Rs motors. What happened to all the racing mercs?..????
