In another thread I read Tres commenting on the LI sound crossing being 31° and snowing. At a few points during the day I was looking at the weather down there, Google Earth showed it 69° with areas of snow scattered in Ct. But then they showed it to be 65 up here when it was 38 out midday.

A huge thanks from Chuck and I that were in the Checkmate 2400 with the 400R.
This was the first time either of us had attended.

While I agree with the general sentiments on the no wake zones and excessive blues-and-twos presence, the event seemed to come off without a hitch and we certainly had a blast.
The run back down to Haddam where we launched was awesome with plenty of hard running between a few of us. Big shout out to the Sunsation crew in particular, we'd like to see some of your footage and pics.

It was definitely worth getting on the road at 5:30am from central NJ and returning home by 9pm!

Cookie Lady's boat came out of the water last week and Lady Bug was helping her Mom move , both should be back next year .
