Gary, it's no problem and I'm happy to do it. As I said before, I am just following in the footsteps of Nick who did this a little over a year ago. I posted on his thread to offer my own thanks for leading the way.

I would buy a 160 or a 170 if the "deal" goes through for one or the other.
Seems like the easiest thing would be for them to give you (Quinten) a "coupon code" that people could PM you for, that was valid for maybe a week. At the end of the week, if they don't have enough orders they could cancel the orders or revoke the discount... but if it's a "go" they would handle all the sizes & shipping individually like they would for a normal order? Using the PM would keep the "code" off the website and limit the deal to registered S&F members that way.
For you to have to try to keep track of sizes, models, and possibly colors is kind of crazy; unless you have everybody download the Lifeline order form and fill it out completely and submit it you so you can count them up and then submit them all together: http://www.lifelineracegear.com/main..._orderform.pdf

David-wi, I'm not going to over complicate it. I am simply asking for a good faith commitment that people will indeed purchase their vest from lifeline if they are willing to offer us a price that everyone is happy with. The last gentleman who did this just let folks know that they should make lifeline aware they were part of the group purchase to qualify for the price. The individual will be responsible to place their own order, arrange payment and pay for any upgrades from the base price. Once I speak with them, I'm sure I'll get the process nailed down so it's easy for everyone. Thanks for the input, it is appreciated.

The deal is in
Ok, I'm going to try this one more time. The editor on my ipad is giving me fits.Ok guys, I have been given the deal. It's not quite the same as last time (2013) but still very generous in my opinion, especially considering that I'm a nobody in lifeline's circle. Comp vest usually runs $510, sale price is $430. Sport vest usually runs $360, sale price $300. For a discount production run color must be orange. For me, if I ever need the jacket to do its job, that is my preference. Law enforcement may ask fewer questions too. If you want something else it cannot be combined with the special. So, that's the deal. I understand some may back out for whatever reason, but it is my hope that most follow through for 3 reasons:1) keep yourself safe on the water2) provide a good turn out to lifeline so they will do it again3) save my face because I told them we would buyI am not involved with the money, ordering or shipping. I simply went to bat to get us a discount. I've done the best I can, so order your jackets! Next post will have the details.

Man, David, thank you so much. I tried my iPad, my note ll, I would type it all in structured, but to no avail. Thanks again. I really do hope most people take advantage of this. I would be glad to hear from people when they order. It's not about me, but I did stick my neck out a little. Hoping for the best.
