    RPM Issues

Hey guys looking for a bit of info or advice about my boat, first Ill tell you the setup then maybe one of you can help me out.

1994 STV Pro-comp (Originally Lee Davie's boat a racer from BC Canada I believe)
    1994 Mercury 2.5L 260hp
11350 ecu with an A15 chip
    109-112lbs compression on all cylinders
    got tons of fuel pressure
    spark on all cylinders
put new fuel water separator filter on
put new inline fuel filter on
    put new plugs on
Using Amsoil HP full synthetic oil at 50:1
    running a Mazco RE3 27P prop

So my questions are what should my max rpm be ? I am currently only getting 5800-6000RPM at 945M above sea level every one I have spoken to locally gives me different numbers of what it should be running 6500-7500, and when I spoke to the previous owner he tells me 8000-9000RPM but can remember for sure. I have switched the battery a few times and I had someone even tell me it could have went into a "Break in" mode limiting the RPMs.... any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any information.

What are you calling tons of fuel pressure? Specific number? There isn't a break-in mode on that ecu. Do you know where the ecu is set?
You need to be running 32:1 oil

109/112 compression seems real low time for leakdown test ,bet rings are toast
amsoil ruined two of my powerheads and amsoil said only in controlled environment where engines are torn down for inspection
should use this oil ,interior looked like sandblasted ,ruined two cranks .at 32 to 1 .

I can't ever recall hearing anything good about that oil from anybody that wasn't slightly off-kilter or selling the stuff. I really like Klotz and Redline
