Judging from Carl's chart , it looks like about 43 mile ride , one way . Wonder who far this old boat will run on 24 gallons ? I think I might want to make room for a couple extra cans !

Ok guys and gals. I just spoke with crystal cove and there are 10 rooms remaining. So if you were on the fence about comeing give them a call. Also looks like the restaurant may be open by the time we get there. This is gonna be a blast. Friday lunch run to crescent lake 3 bannans. Friday night parking lot cook out / get together. Saturday run to the spring's hell yeah can't wait.

I'm Friday and Saturday night, I just bought 4 VP square 5 gal cans, 4 for 140 with hoses, you can borrow or buy a couple

The only experience that I have had with OMC was a 235 on our 18 skater as a kid and then (for a short time) I had the land and sea 24 skater raceboat with a pair of V-8s. I swear that you could watch the fuel gauge move almost as fast as the tachs!!! It was more of a hassle then a cost concern back then but into days world, the cost will take the fun out of it.

I guess it's all in what you want. for the type of boat I do on a weekend basis its not to bad unless I'm in throttle a lot! like anything else however I typically have a pile of kids in the boat and most of my boating buddies where I live max out at 50mph so just cruising with them conserves fuel.
