Below is a pretty cool video of one of the Fast Five being tested professionally a couple of years ago. Yeh, yeh, the clip uses a 21 I/O but the boat in the video is a Nordic SR-21 which is the identical hull to the SR-21 O/B or Crossfire-21 O/B discussed in this thread. Lot of of bow deadrise and excellent handing for a 21 SOB and a pretty neat description of the ballast tanks rigging in the video which the Tuff and Bernico offer as well. Funny in the clip they talk about the 21' size being an "all but forgotten" size range.

That step runs totally clear of the water in the flat though so doesn't have any aeration or effect on top end at all. Proper stepped hulls are a whole different ball game

Best of 90.1 with a 300 pro max, averaged 85 everyday. It was fairly light, and very very weight sensitive. Honestly, the boat ran better as a twin.
