stuff this s**t! i was actually enjoying this thread but no one like playin with old etecs yet. im gonna post pics of mine up here now, to some of you guys i have listed photos over this site throughout other posts. so yous might have already seen it!
she started of as a standard 250ho 08model.. bought it at 74hours old.. im a evinrude guy and always will be and i like the old v4/6s loud. at 133 hours the 1mm grinder come out and my tec was shortened to a nice 16inch with offshore exhaust. added carbon fibre reeds, removed thermostats, rebuild my l2 but added bobs lwpu and yea, pictures will explain... tell yas now, shortening this engine, it handles better then ever before and fuel economy after obviously cutting the tuner shorter... economy has improved drastically. please feel free to ask as many questions yous like. my steering is somewhat a work of art.

Well i may as well post the first stage of my project!! ( not an L2) i have a 200ho 3.3 to get done too. money and time being the only thing to slow the project. Looks like there is more interest in these than first thought!!!

Beautiful welding by my mate Nick at Fusion Engineering who offered to sponsor my boat

All the bushes were replaced with custom made bronze ones, and after making an MDF template a wingplate was custom made on the flow jet at another mate's engineering company, A-Tec.

Here it is in action!

Very nice. You know if you wouldn't run your funk so hard it wouldn't break
