HEY, Chicago "old school! Remember us going down to Chitown, North ave "B.L.U.E.S", club? back in the late 70's? Jimmy Johnson Blues Band, played there many times! I "hooked well", with Keith, the drummer, later on. Remember well, one nite, I was back stage, behind Keith, overhead lights off, spot on Jimmy doing a "solo". So Keith is still drumming, I'm behind him, and those were the "tiny spoon days, to the 'nose" YES, I sure did do drugs after Nam...(better than getting shot, high on something there anyway!) So I toss a nose full him, and after 2 hours drumming, got "energy!" Lotta fun back then, too bad fun is illegal now...

I never drive again, listen this sound. It makes you go faster and faster and then you end up with a huge bill and three month without a driver license.

Have the oldies on in the shop, "Bye Bye, Miss American Pie" was on. One lyric, was, "and the Birds were 8 miles high, and falling fast". DAMN, I loved growing up (kinda), then!

And while I think it, the beginning SNL, I was a weekender at the Fox Lake "Chain" house, Illinois..(think Blarneys). I lived western suburbs, Chitown. The many original cast, were from there. Belushi, lived a few towns away from me. They did the "Second City" there. And after, we all partied the "Rush Street, old Blues clubs", after. But that was before SNL came out. BUT when it hit the air, "Saturday Night Live?" Well, what was a "wild" Saturday night, in the boats, doing our best to close down the many lake shore bars..(many gone now, condos")

But we were on Pistakee, just out Ben Watts, on RT 12, short of "Joes Puppet bar"..(gone now..never forget the "all ya can eat, crab leg nights!"), the tip, at "Happy Ours Resort"..(gone now too, condos). But our lake house was 2 in the channel, the resort. I was dating the "Happy Ours", daughter, and she bar tended much, all beer and pizza us were free, and when SNL, came out? I swear, the normal Sat nite boat traffic STOPPED DEAD, ALL in the lake front bars, "what the heck will they do next?" Best times my life there, then. Sad to say, but thats when the "Chain", was pretty well .."NOT" controlled, ..damn, even the water cops would park it and watch!
