Made a nice little mount for the hydralic pump today, and managed to get that all buttoned up... Even polished the hardware!

I put the oil tank on the drivers side because it was the shortest routing to the motor. It only holds just over a gallon of oil anyway so figure its about 10 pounds on average lol

What did you say. You always have to be about 10 pounds lighter than your dad.

Jackplate is mounted, I am very happy with the build quality of the Bobs jackplate, however I feel my other jackplate fit the boat better. The other jackplet had a larger mounting area, and the bobs jsut doesnt fit the boat all that well in my opinion. The hydralic better be worth it, otherwise this thing is comin right off.
Just looks goofy on the boat, sticks up past the transom, and doesnt follow the stainless plate liek my rapidjack did
and heres a pic of how my rapidjack fir the boat for an example so you guys don't think I am nuts

I like the look of the rapid jack better but I think the hydraulic is on my wish list for fine tuning. My friends all say find the sweet spot, drill a hole and put a bolt in it and never move it. I think there are just to many variables to have it locked down like that. I have a merc trim pump sitting in the shop just waiting for a decent jackplate that needs a pump.

Mike I agree, I defiantely like the way my old plate looked compared to the new plate, but it didnt have enough lift. I needed more height and I would like to be able to adjust the motor on the fly for the conditions we have out here in the bay. Hopefully it is worth the goofy look!
Johnny I sold it to my buddy Matt back in october. He gained a few mph and broke 80 with my jackplate!
