Which is why I don't add much to these posts. But I will let this out of the bag. South Eastern Gun co. www.segunco.com you can put guns on layaway, their prices are DIRT CHEAP and there is no tax or shipping (except in Georgia, tax in Georgia).

My wife picked up a GLOCK 17 for me for christmas last year with a crimson trace laser sight. I have several guns from ARs to AKs and several hunting rifels 308,270 .300 mag. The glock is very nice can hold 17 rounds and shoots very smooth easy to control even when you are dumping the clip 40s,45s are nice lots of knock down power. But you cant beat high capacity more shots more protection.. Check one out you will not be disapointed.

24 oz this one is a 9 but, I also have an identicle .40
its a great carry gun very compact and well built. Even stock it was very accurate and very controllable with 13 shots with the short mag. Comes with everthing you need case, standard mag, extended mag, mag loader, holster, and mag holder. I carry it with an in the belt custom pancake holster and sometimes forget its there. I've got tons of guns this or, the .40 are the ones I carry now.
Check one out.

GOOD NEWS!!! I have removed the weight limit
I went down to Hoffman Guns today and was enlightened by the pro salesperson there
He said them little bug guns are nice, but not fun to shoot, very inaccurate, and not a good choice for a beginner
He showed me the Luger TCP and S&W Ultra Lite .38 revolvers!!! Very nice and still light...A Glock 19? 9MM was another poly option that was not to heavy! Now this thread has to kinda start kinda' anew from here
I dont want a real heavy gun, but a nice happy medium piece you guys have been telling me about from the beginning sounds good
Nuthin' better than advice from gun totin' Performace boaters!!!

Well, without a weight limit and staying within reason I would opt for a S&W Model 60 5 round .357 Snubby or 3 inch...next on my list would be a S&W Model 66 with a short barrel....I believe you can find them in 2 and a rare 3 inch Model.
Model 60 is on a J Frame or smaller revolver.
The Model 66 is an N or Medium frame and about the same as a 686 which is also a .357 that can be found in a short barrel.
Model 66 below with a 4 inch barrel and Combat Grips.
The Model 19 is an awesome revolver but a bear to conceal as it is a L or Large frame and it is.
Note, if you opt for a revolver chambered in .357 Mag you can always shoot .38 Special for practice and even carry .38 Plus P until you get accustomed to the recoil of a .357 Mag round.

I'm with ya here..I like wheels..always did.."won the West right?...no such thing jamming prob, "and if ya need more than six.."GIVE UP!"..they got ya out gunned!, And a S/W "Lite weight", decent cal, damn good nuff. And I can do a wheel "6 speedloader clip, my .357, just as fast as someone next me, dumping a mag, reload, the bench the range....but been doing shooting years, kinda learned fast in Nam though, and service, and ya all know its all, a "lotta practice", 'till second nature, even blind folded..
