Is this going to be your only gun? How did you decide on a 12oz limit? I think you are writing off a lot of guns that pack more punch based on the weight. You really need to handle them and shoot them. I have shot a few smaller sized guns and don't really enjoy shooting them. That means you are less likely to go to the range and as a result less proficient.

Dude, ya nailed it. In Nam, we DRILLED IN OUR head..(loved the night fire fights!)..if ya shoot, and YOU see where the "tracers", are going, FROM YOU?....well, those the shooting back..got a "bead on ya fast...
So few realize, much less seen combat, on the new Laser site's? To me, its a big.."here I am"...(ya said it well)

Nuff me here, unsubscribed..as this could go years, personal opinions..(all good though!)
Al ..get yer azz to a gun store, that has a indoor range. They will "rent ya", not new, but the "stuff' they have used years, any damn weapon they got. And any Gun Store owner..seen it, done it, show ya what..before ya fork out cash...(and the only person I know, who only owns one weapon, will show ya then first bought..and .."wanna see the rest now?"

Holy crap have you bought a stinkin gun yet?
For all you Glock fans the Springfield XD especially the sub compact for carry is a great gun.
I'd rather have one than that clunky, crappy triggered, import any day.
Oh, that's right I do and it on my hip!
Gun show this coming weekend I'll be once again expanding the arsenal........................................................................LETS STORM THE CASTLE BOYS!

A good holster will make all the difference for carry. I would say that most people carry something more than 12oz. Most people would consider what you are looking for as BUG.

Yup, maybe a BUG but better than nuthin'...Guys like Robby and a few others here would carry a Gatlin gun if they could shove it down there pants

Oh Boy now we can start recommending holsters!!!
Well IMO, DeSantis and Fobus are excellent holsters and Safariland. If ya want a low price one Uncle Mikes makes good low buck holsters.-----------------------

+1 on the Fobus,The only problem I found with the fobus plastic holster is that after about a year of getting caught on things,a rivet popped. Not bad for all the abuse I put mine through

Does bieng left handed have an effect on my gun purchase? I noticed the Kel-Tec has a mag release on the left...Sooo if my trigger finger is over it could I eject the mag? Is there such a thing as a left hand gun? The Ruger LCP has the release below the ridge of the handle and doesnt stick out, so it probably might be a better choice..Al

Depends on the hand gun. Some have ambidextrous (either side) slide release and the mag release can sometimes be switched over too.

Im looking at my LCP now,it doesn't look like it can be switched
