Can I ask what pitch? and what rpm you saw 81??? You can keep the prop itself a secret if you want, just curious on pitch and rpm

I am running a 26 trophy plus right before the rev limiter turns the motor to an idle. 6125 rpm. I put a spacer inbetween the prop and the lower unit. The spacer directs the gasses all through the hub and does not allow any to go over the hub. It seems to help with the speed but I am not sure why. The big difference is the choppy water. I need to get my hands on a 27 trophy to try. I have not used the 26 raker since the last romp... only could spin at 5500rpm's top speed 74.

I believe so. It snaps onto the lower unit.

Defuser Ring. What it's designed to do is use the elevated lip to create a vortex bringing water closer to hub for a better bite, and less chance of blowout. Some of the old Merc cases had a small rib around the back of the case that did the same thing. Don't see it anymore cause the Merc cases are so hydrodynamic and the OMC cases are still lacking in this dept, hence the need for the blowout ring.
See ya at the Romp. 81 is an awesome speed with a 250 and a cabin hull. Sounds like that E Tech is pumpin pretty good.

They all cheat with the numbers 225ho =248 . James gang it is just like that just no screws, it clips on. Thanks for explaining it. Mikey I am sure you'll be up to the game... something tells me you don't like to loose especially to a blue motor. Those pictures you posted were bad ass.. Just curious is your hull kevlar it seems to carry very well.

Went out boating yesterday and noticed my Sportys have the lip I was talking about. I guess there not as hydrodynamic as the CLEs were. Anyway I guess your engines are pretty dependable when you forget what they look like.

My hull is defiantely not kevlar, but the way the boat carries itself is just prop and motor height/setback. Less boat in the water= faster. =D

    Cool!

I'm in Ti until Thursday eve, too bad I couldn't snag the boat and get it down closer for you...
