Popped in my head yesterday, and it won't go away!

Trying to do a vid, on youtube, done today...(first attempt").(YEP.. THE MERC SINGS!)

Robby I just saw your vid now...love the sound of an outboard or inboard, ah heck any LOUD MOTOR!!!!! I am still getting used to the new format so I am missing thread posts!!!!

here is one I heard 2x on the radio today, I know it's a repeat but who cares, it is my faith in God that brings me through some rough times and man lately I have been put to the test.... I got a big sign today! Yippie, I needed it!!!!

I need to do a vid, the Flatbottom, on a punch in the water, as its an "acceleration monster"! Set up as a straight..."nail it, do WOT, hang on, and back off", as its a not some pleasure boat, just a fun "monster". Still have that old dragracer in me, even if I race myself. Sucker only weighs 350 boat, my butt, 200, and motor 300, figure about loaded gassed,. under 1000 pounds. With the Merc pushing 140 hp, thats 1.4 HP per pound, so

...ya know where I'm coming from here!

I'm still the old Merc hand throttle, but it needs a "hotfoot"..as needs two hands the wheel. Still getting it built, and the crank up rebuild Merc, has 10 hours on it now, broke in..still getting it .."rigged right". My 60th Birthday was last Saturday, and I'm ..NEVER GET ANY OLDER NOW!..REFUSE to give up "FAST!

Heres a few pix, the build, one the first "ready to break in, big pitch ALUM prop", then one fired in the water, under load, break-in, , and one on a punch, with a 3 blade, SS cup, 12x19, and ya can see the water.."BLADE CHOP", the rear end. Now, running a 12x24 2 blade cup, and its spins the motor to 3500 r's, grab's water, down to 2500 r's, and a simple "hang the freak on too WOT, close 5800. Lotta fun! And those twin fins, under the hull? Sucker turns on a dime!...and still stable. Has a 10 inch pad, and one inch dropped chines, side.."air rider". Couple more pix in a bit! (you will love the name!)

NOTHING ME BOATS HAS BEEN WET YET! OR BIKES THE ROAD! We have had 2/3 days where it hit 70 all spring! Airshow today in town?.., Fathers Day...old school "Radial" Planes, Air show in town is canceled! Raining and low "ceiling", and saying same tomorrow. WE have had ZERO SUMMER! At the moment?..56 degrees, and more damn drizzle. SAYING ..middle week will be high 70's, , but I deal with it IF IT COMES! At the moment, I have a fire going in the woodstove shop, and the big door closed..its like WINTER HERE! But, who cares..16 years here, seen it, done it, and 2 more years, heading to warmer temps, as will be 62 then. Great country here, just sick of cold a damp. No biggie me, as long as I wake up.."its a good day!"....
