Just got back in from another night run, the boat is about as dialed in as it gets. 78-79 alll night long like she is on rails!

Hey Chris great pics. I remember all those boats like it was yesterday. I towed the Velocity up to Morgans the other day for some gel work. Going down 202 I passed buy Bobs dad doing yard work. I think he did a triple take as the boat went by.

Any more info on your friend Steve's? Reason I ask is mine is the exact same paint scheme and I've never seen one exactly the same before...could be the same boat!

Kent.......... That boat was from Greenwood Lake NY. Steve raced it a few times in A-class offshore in the early to mid '80's. Most of the time though, he rode as navigator in Werner Kenzil's 21Shadow (Borderline) A-class. The Filipone twins, Mike and Phil, also from Greenwood Lk. ran a Sanger Alleycat (Double Vision) raced during that time period. They're both S&F members, and could tell you more about Steve's Velocity. I have another good pic of that boat upstate framed on my wall. I'll scan it into the puter when I go up again soon! chris

Hey Jim, You must have woke up 'Ol Bert pretty good when you drove by with Bob's old boat!! I have a bunch more old pics from the 80's-90's. I'll scan them in and post them when I get some time. chris

Hey Bio, regarding my response to Cutwater's post, One of the Filipone twins was in the 30' Velocity in the pic I posted on your thread. They would know more about THAT boat as well.

The Filipone twins, Mike and Phil, also from Greenwood Lk. ran a Sanger Alleycat (Double Vision) raced during that time period.

I believe that 30' Sanger ended up at Fort Apache in North Miami Beach(now called Aventura) with two Evolution Marine 400 h.p. V-8s on it, circa 1986-87. Rick Conti & I ran it some. It would get you from zip to 110 in the blink of the eye. Great acceleration. Drink you broke though. Good times.

Thanks Chris! Now I know it isn't my boat...the bottom on this is red...mine is white. Could see that in the first pic...but other than that, very similar!
