I'll answer some here. Questions.
My 88/125 force bargeliner, is the best boat I ever owned. And its been in salt, me, 15 years..(came from the other side the mountains, and fresh water new). Had the usual old Force problems, after a few years with me. Upgraded the Stator, power packs, coils, when it kept dropping a CYL, less than $400 fixed, and runs fine. Then, the one piece driveshaft snapped..they went to 2 piece in the early 90's. Saltwater, corroded it, just below going into the crank. Last lower off for an impeller, someone forgot the stupid O-Ring, up there. Picked up a trashed L/U..(hit a log, only just took out the skeg, guts fine. Replace the shaft, guts re-did new, if needed. Mostly just shaft and new seals, pump, crush ring, etc.
Has run like a champ, for a good 6 years now, ZERO probs. Its the work/ride/enjoy the water/dog boat. Rides fine in chop too. And ya gotta love the Cuddy...fills up quicker than a womens purse! I'll get to the Flatty next..Last edited by Robby321; 11-26-2009 at 09:35 PM.

Thanks hydro. I shoveled a hole lota asphalt, and still am for that place, but it's well worth the blood, sweat and tears. That is a car lift, 9 ton pick, I bought it. "for our service trucks", ya right, we do use it for that, although I have a 66 chevelle I mess with also.

Hey Denny, In 1971 My dad and my uncle (Denny Francis and Denny Landers,no kidding)decided they were going to ski the entire Mississippi River. They took a sidewinder like that up as far as you could drive a boat.(Coon Rapids MN) They tried two times with that boat but kept hitting crap in the river and wrecking props and lower units. They ended up buying a cobalt jet drive and went to the gulf of mexico in 11 days. The only reason they did it was to get on the Johnny Carson show. My dad drove the boat and my uncle skied on some wood Cypress Garden Dick Pope specials. The only time my dad skied was into the gulf(there was also a spotter/photographer with them) It would of been cool if the sidewinder would of made it though!
