Heres a pic my old Shep/Doberman mix.."Harley Dog". Grabbed her out the pound, they just found her in a alley, just had pups. The pups were put to sleep, as an unknown breed. Poor thing was beat up, scars on her face, from a mean owner..not a dog fight. She was scared to death of people..coward-ed away from all..sat in the corner the pen..licking her still milked teats, but no pups.
I grabbed her..(I just put one to sleep). Took her home, and it took weeks, to accept any "cookie". She was so beat up from some mean owner, she didn't want to get hit again. (Hope that azzhole is rotting in hell)
Turned into the best dog ever owned. That time was only Harley riders coming over, she KNEW them.."come on in"..but barked at Jap bikes!. Weird!
And HATED any "salesman". come a knocking at the door. mean it too..some bastard must have scared her face..ya come by my house, any uniform...she would sit quietly..never a "grr", or sound.
Just these intent eyes, watching them. Buddy mine does small engine repair, Sears. Has the work duds on, stops by. Out of nowhere, she clamps down on his ankle! Drew blood. I kinda got her figured out by this time.
Funny too, as when I moved out here from the then Illinois, I got a new mattress ordered. Dude shows up, forgot the dog was on the porch.
He's coming up the drive, one handling the box frame..see him coming, and then..SEE THE BOX 10 feet in the air! Dog clamped him ankle ..BIG TIME!
Good thing he had solid leather boots on! Tooth holes still in them, not got down to skin.
I loved that old dog, RIP, Harley Dog..had to put her down , in 1997
Sorry ..know off subject..but ya all know, ya never forget yer best friends.

Nothing of track with that Robby. Seems this is good for tunes and stories of yesteryear. Always like to hear a good story specially about loved ones

I had a 1977 bronco half cab that I completely built a stereo system around this tape, cassette at that time. by the time I was done I had wore that tape out. As you've read, I have a background in stereo. It was one knock down drag out system, amps and speakers tucked everywhere.

Yes I became comfortably numb many times. My best bud lived next store to me in a duplex. We worked together road building. Our motto, work hard, play hard and that we did.

Yep Denny, I used to drive all over the country chasing the good Old Grateful Dead and we stayed comfortably numb for days!

Yep, 1984 until Jerry died in 95. I only saw around 40 shows. I know people who saw 400 or more.

I remember that TOO WELL! 15, sitting the dining room table, doing homework!
Radio on softly. "Twist and Shout".."I wanna hold yer hand"..come on.
    Slammed the book closed..""lets dance!"

Missed this post Robby. Harley dog looks like a good bud. I know exactly what ya mean about best friend.

I have a Krissy dog, she's a lover. Just turned 15, I know time is short for her, I tell her all the time, I love her. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, except for squirrels and cats and a few other animals that have gottin in her way.
