someone went to alpena this weekend.

Longer boating season, closer to the mountains for moutnain biking, Utah lives down there and wheels every weekend and says its great, the girls look better then these michigan snow cows, it won't smell like detroit, I'm failing miserably at seeing the downside.

This was about 30 minutes after sunrise in Feb 08, the fog had finally opened up and you could see the lighthouse. Just a typical morning, but for some reason I was awake to take the picture (of course from inside with my slippers on).



And try seeing this from 'bama

I've seen the northern lights more times then I can count. Not that they aren't cool as hell to sit at a bonfire drinking a beer looking at.

The snow on the otherhand I've also seen enough of.

I actually miss the UP, but I don't miss the long grey winters.

brings a tear to my eye.....now mitch albom the same guy who doesn't get why anyone in their right mind would ever want to go and ride an ATV in the woods, or by an expensive gas burning power boat can %$#@ a goat.

I in the meantime will continue to consider leaving Detroit.

Detroit has a lot of pride, as do all the people who live here, but it doesn't mean I wanna stay
