How else does an American auto manufacturer meet the requirements put forth by a bunch of legislative monkeys in Congress when they have to make safety and crash test standards? Lighter frame or lighter fenders.....can't have both.

V6 diesel? They need to build a good gas V8 first, those 4.6's and 5.4's are junk. I see your from tx, so I'll say this extra slowly, I was being S-A-R-C-A-S-T-I-C. I wouldn't piss on a Toyota if it was on fire, maybe throw more gas on it though

Them new GMC's and Chevys have to be the ugliest thing on Gods creation and the dodges look even more bloated then last years version.
    I'm currently boatless

Don't worry, Ford and GM won't be building their own diesels for the half tons.

My truck might be ugly but it works really well

Watch that "monkey" remark. Some one may judge you as being a racist!

Oh Grasshopper the Ford is an all Ford Motor. They have a new 6.8 V-8 coming for the 250's and up also. I think the V-6 is a 4.7L they are supposed to be bad A$$. Meet all the left coast pollution requirements and all. I'll find a link to them. Seen one of the V-6 at the car show, looks like a nice motor.

I've been very happy with mine. Bought new in 2005 and after 40,000 miles I've had zero issues. The 5.4 has plenty of torque to pull my boat around easily (5000 lbs. plus with fuel).

Love the 2009 trucks. Ford has done a nice job with them.

The back of that Toyota looked like a 300 lb. girl running down the street in a pair of thongs.

That's funny, I was just talking to a couple of guys who were designing and developing the ford's diesel engine.....and they didn't work for Ford....I'll be sure to let them and any of the candidates I send them this week that they will not be designing and developing a diesel engine for Ford....I'll tell them its for Nissan.
