It would be great if "slowaction420" could post a photo. I did not realize that both boats had a similiar bottom.
The Stepp keel pad measures 11" wide and incorporates its own 7 degree V that changes every inch as it moves forward. The notch is about 8". Frank can comment on how his experiments with setback may have helped or hurt his particular boat now that his seems to be the fastest with the Promax 300.

For the buyer that wants the speed of the pad bottom boat and likes the Stepp Velocity 22 then there is another excellent option that surpasses the SV 22 on many levels..............

I've had good experience with Ken at KBG graphics and vinyl lettering on Route 37 West in Toms River, NJ. I don't have their phone number handy, but their email is KBG01@aol.com
If it's got t!ts, tires or a transom, it's gonna give you trouble!

Ed, is it the pad bottom or the notch that helps with this feature?

velocity stickers
High Velocity, My original stickers faded. I took a picture of the stickers measured the size and had a local graphics company cut them for me. He made me 2 for each side just in case I screwed up the vinyl decals when I put them on. Total cost was $25. Frank
