Skater 32 Classsic
If you want to run in the rough stuff Skater 32 Classic. The DCB is too heavy. That is why it runs well into the wind. It needs to pack more air and lift off the surface of the water. Balsa core and bagged is the way to go.

The 25 Liberator has the same bottom as the 24 Skater. I've run over 90 in a 3ft chop with 30 mph winds. The 21 Liberator has a centerpod, and can still run wide open in a 2ft chop.
I'll make you a killer deal on this new 25 Liberator. More pics on my website. I also have 4 21's in stock." IT'S NOT HOW FAST YOU ARE, IT'S HOW COOL YOU LOOK!!! "

GHOST.....I really don't think he's talking about "Offshore" rollers. He's talking about rough lakes that he currently cruises in his 22 foot DCB. You act like he's running in 6 footers in the ocean.
The 21 Trick, 24 Skater, 25 Liberator and Motion as well as the 25 Talon and Trick's new 26 Voodoo are all great boats and all have an excellent ride without being too big or breaking the bank.
They will all have a better ride than any V-Hull out there that is the same size in the same water that you run your DCB. When it get's too rough for the DCB, every boat listed above will give you a very comfortable ride. None of these cats are well suited for offshore type swells but they will all run very well on a saturday afternoon lake.
I run a 25 Talon on my lake that normally has 2 footers and 3 footers on busy weekends and it's very comfortable.

i would like to know what kind of cats he was passing .
i do a lot of boating localy in the gsb and the ocean and i have yet to see conditions where the cats dont shine , in nasty bay chop the ride on a small v bottom sucks , in sloppy gsb conditions a cat goes right over it like a perfectly aligned rolls royce and the v is like a daewoo with 4 diffrent height tires and bent control arms

one more thing , your goanna be in for a rude awakening once you ride your 23 foot ghost on the gsb on a windy sunday afternoon , west of the robert mosses bridge , when there is a true 2 to 3 foot wind blown chop , mixed with cabin cruiser wakes
it's goanna seem like you have a vandetta on your internal organs

What have we learned?
There may be some new Ghosts running around soon.
Most people are delusional about the "big" water they actually run in.
Running in a lake is very different than running offshore.
A good driver can make his rig run its best in prevailing conditions.
Bajas and checkmates shouldn't be surprised at anything beating them.(sorry Jay I can't resist being funny)
Truthfully guys its all about where you boat and when you boat,as to what works for you.
IMHO the worst condition to boat in ,is the churn kicked up by the weekend warrior pleasure boater in places like LI's south shore.BE VERY CAREFUL!! They don't have a clue and yet they look at fast boats with disdain. Talk to your local law enforcement people they will tell you who they would rather be on the water with.
BTW thats me in the yellow Progression you see in Bash's posts.Gene is correct in saying that Dan is always right there in his 24 Skater, hell he is usually out in front!!Last edited by arrowwaves; 03-08-2008 at 05:48 PM.

GMD i will ask him what he can remember about who was running what ill also take a look at some old tapes...also this is not a personal thing I was responding to a comment made about Cats being superior to V's and like I said they both have there strong and weak points...There is no doubt that a 2-3 foot chop in a 20-24 SOB will be an asskicking but theres alot of factors that go into racing not just pure speed...(Wheel Skill, Navigation, Conditioning, Wave Height and Direction and a little luck
) and from what I've seen and been told for the most part Cats are slower in rougher water then V's but excel in calmer seas thats all I am saying
Just food for thought if the cats are superior in all conditions then why would race teams waste money on carrying a V and a Cat to the race?
I look foward to meetin you this summer out in the bay...I assume you are rocking a CAT

SUPERBASH thats the kinda Chit I'm talking about!
Thanks man for posting that video--that is exactly the kind of water I would consider to be the worst I commonly encounter on Lake Wallenpaupack....The wind starts blowing....then all the bagle barges start running at sloppy wake speed...the crap stews up and just gets worse and worse.
I used to run in it about 40-50mph in my Superboat 21, it was fun but would compress your spine. I've definitely become partial to the cats, just like the handling and flying feeling. I'm thinking a 25 Liberator, 26 Voodoo or 24 Skater is going to be the ticket.
Thanks,

Depends on which 300's and the setup. I sold one a few years ago with 99 motors. It ran 112. Another ran 115 with 300X motors. The new motors would probably run 115 on the limiters.
