Now I know who you are talking about. Ive seen people post "I have a 1993 2.5 200" . He still asks for serial.

Sometimes depending on what it is the serial number can help, but sometimes it’s just not necessary given the issue.

“I have a 225 promax, what are the best plugs to run?”

”please provide serial number AS REQUIRED!!”

um ok, doesn’t matter all 225 promax’s are the same in that regard!

Most good people because of it. And that’s in the high performance section, there is a section for stock motors made the suggestion that the serial number crap could stay in the stock motor section but stop
using that when not necessary in high perf.
