Well the repaired Vampire ran perfect last weekend in Maryland. No prop marks were found on the boat. A few pics to enjoy !

The old vampire strutted her stuff for two days of heats at the New Martinsville Vintage Regatta last weekend ! Running like a 55 year old champ ! Time to rest till spring .

so the current prop i like best is a 3 blade 26 pitch merc cleaver that was tuned by Steve Smith for this set up. It is running 3 mph faster than the 24 pitch cleaver and turning 3-400 MORE rpm. I was afraid it would lug the motor but runs 6500-6600 rpm with great acceleration out of the corner. Toying with the idea of a 28 pitch ?. Remember this is only a stock 1400 motor ( well almost stock ) !!!
