    Welcome to Redneck Rivera.
Florida Panhandle is the closest geographic location to the ocean for a lot of people from Alabama, Georgia and Tennesse.

In the mid 1970s I lived in the area and, did a lot of water skiing in the bay area of Fort Walton Beach.
From Biloxi Mississippi to Panama Florida the Rivera beaches are White Sand and Clear warm water.
With all the Bays, Intercostal waters, and the Gulf... your boat's hull has the potential to get wet every week.

Also, in Pensacola the Blue Angles test and do flybys at the Gulf's shoreline.
Enjoy the weather and pace of life.

    Thank you sir!

    We love it.

Whiting field is 2 mls from our house and that is where they train prop plane and helicopter pilots.

The planes normally are two together and fly right over our pool.

I always tell my wife, they have our address in their GPS and while flying over the pool, they bank into the turns so they can see out the window hoping to see you w/your top off!

Boat hasn’t been wet yet and don’t know where to start.

The Blackwater River through town looks really nice but are forks going every direction that would make it very easy to get lost!

...jeez, you just reminded me of a third neighbor that moved there. watched the kid grow up here, got into the military big time up there in the air force as a pilot, got married, has a kid or two now, and built a house right next to that public boat ramp on the black river in old bagdad. small world...

We were still on Ohio when that hit but all our friends/family knew that’s where we were moving and had big fun w/it.

We brought a snow shovel down w/us and I put it at the end of our driveway w/a sign on it the said, “FREE, you may need it!”

A neighbor still has a sign in their front yard saying, “NO MORE SNOW DAYS”.

Funny to here all the stories from the locals.

Most just stayed inside for 2 days!

Been running on Perdido River mostly since it's closer to the house but we did hit Blackwater one time so far, will definitely go back soon. I know what you mean with the small cut offs and forks in the river, I held my phone in my hand going up river that first time but usually I get a good understanding of where I'm going after that. Its mostly just places to pull off and hang out. What I have been doing is either first thing when I put in the water and/or on the way back to the ramp I will get down towards the mouth of the river where its wider, more straight, and less traffic to make a few fun runs. I've been told Blackwater is where some of the performance boats usually go but the one time I went I didn't see any. The only thing I had an issue with on Blackwater is the lack of courtesy. So many boats just rolling through throwing wake. I just don't get it, when you see a sandbar with 20 boats beached, just idle by and don't be a dickhead lol. Perdido is a bit more chill.
