What Mercury is this? Was I duped?

It's been a long time so I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong area. I searched all over and still haven't found a clear answer. I recently bought a 6 cylinder Mercury with no title with a cowl that says XR2 150. The tag on the transom brace serial stamped A157328 The freeze plug on the block stamped B341950 I don't know enough about Mercurys to know for sure.

I've found a model list and I think I'm reading it right..... I'm thinking the 150 died and they put a 135 in it???

Could i get anyone's opinions or facts? Thanks Guys!

0A157328 comes up as a 1985 150 XR2. 0B341950 does not come up at all. Double check the serial number on the block

Nothing about this is right. An XR2 is a 2L 150, and they stopped making those after the '87 model year when they started to make the 2.4L XR4.
