Cool New Trick 23 Widebody with twin 300Rs looks incredible!

I just love the design of the Trick 23 and with twin 300Rs, I think it's an outboard hotrod that's in a class of its own. Very soon I will have much more in-depth coverage of this boat, and I am very much looking forward to some first-hand experience with the 23!

600 HP screwed to the stern of a 23' cat. This ought to be interesting - not to mention next to impossible to insure.

They came out with a nice looking rig. Insurance could be an issue.....I know Performance is building a new P280 with twin 400s and the guy is going to pay big for coverage.

Cool looking boat. But in my opinion it's 2 feet too short for twins. But what do I know? Lol

Stern seems to float them well, I think it is a pretty "big" 23'.

Pic of my former 25 Liberator with a 23 Trick nearby. (Pretty sure that's a single engine 23). Wider and seems not too far off in length.

And sad to see my old rig run up on the beach. The colored gel coats show scratches and wear with one time on the beach.

It's a great looking boat. The blue one is up by me now. It's a great single engine package. I see more downside of twins then benefits on this hull. I've been in 25s, 28s, and 32s that feel small with twin 300Rs.

If you are going to run a light load then singles are great. Put four or five people with fuel and it all goes bad. Response and performance is great running my LCB by myself but running alone on anything other then dirt bikes or sleds sucks overall.

I think the twin is incredible. 25 years ago I owned a super light 22' Rapid Craft Twister (under 1000 lb hull) with modified twin 260's. That boat was one of the most fun boats I have ever owned. 120 mph and could run with drag boats. Larry, you bought it from me and hung twin E-Tecs.
