I guess I can dig up this old thread since I have the boat now. Needs a little TLC from the previous owner letting the boat sit in the water but for the most part the gel is in really nice condition. Wiring is falling apart so I am going to rewire everything and hope the EX-Zact Dial system still works. Also need to build a new shelf for the fuel tanks and possibly try to mount the canopy with hinges (its currently bolted down on 4 corners and a pita to get in and out of).

Wow JHUFF...great pic of the Wildcat...must HAUL with that 235 on it. Wonder if that is my dads old Wildcat he put twin Chrysler 105's on...his was green. Glad to see your out cruising with the Wildcat. That is my dads old race #...he quit racing in 1973 so APBA prolly reassigned his #. I'm 4 years into restoring a 15'Wildcat tunnel that I'm going to install a 1968 Johnson GT115 on...as close as I'll be able to get to my last race boat. (Hustler 15' tunnel with an Evinrude X115) Are you running your boat on the Rock River?

Dan, not sure about the history of the blue one. The transom looked like it was setup for twins so it's possible. He was able to get 67 out of it the other day with a small wheel. His boat does not have tabs so I gave him the dimensions off mine and he is going to fab up a set and put a 27p on it and see what it will do. I still haven't got mine out on the water yet. I ended up rebuilding the entire harness, half the engine wiring and replacing everything in the control box as it was all corroded and rotten. I'm hoping to get it in the water at least once this year. I was out in my Switzer the day I saw this boat. Yes, I run it on the Rock between Rockford and Rockton.

Its me the 235 hustler guy. Hope to bring this thread alive or maybe just start a hustler 15 boats post. Had a lot of set backs testing last year. I come up with a trim pad concept in hopes to get her flyin with the v6. After chasing my tail with electrical. Hopefully the river calms down in a few weeks to make more runs with it. Mother nature has not been to friendly

Mark, I still have a few copies of that GLBC race progam with all the racers' pics and bios. It's from Dad's rookie year 1974.

Bill, If you have any extra copies of the race program I would be interested in one, I'm still in the process of restoring the tunnel I have here and have the GT115 that's going to go on it. We sold our business and after we close on the sale I'll resume the restoration work....Dan

Only took 2 and half years, but its finally in the water. I rebuilt all the wiring in the engine as it was chewed up from mice pretty bad, rebuilt all the wiring and electronics in the control assembly, got the jackplate and controls working. Went to fire it up and the starter was shot. Did not have a spare lying around, did however have another boat with a 140, lwp and "offshore" exhaust. Need to completely re-rig the boat over the winter as it is thrown together to see if it all worked. Also have dual cable steering to swap over from the donor boat.
