I believe the lip on the allys keep the fronts planted a bit as well as help when running smaller motor on them.As much as I like getting the big topend number id rather have a boat that cruises better from 40-60.
Did this help my 22 porpoises bad too

Though I would ask Steve about it if I can find him at the Miami boat show.... Thanks for the incentive.
I might now have the boat ur talking about - I am finally getting some hard runs after fixing a few things on it the past few seasons - A lot more work to do and ideally it needs a floor and transom to say the least...

Using a 23 Trophy plus and 250hp 3.0 Merc runs about 64mph, I am banging on the rev limiter all day so I can barely trim it up, the porpoising is what's annoying though !!

Let me know if anyone has some more history about this one Good or Bad I dont care

How is your bow lift with the 26p Hydromotive quad? Do you have to extremely trim out to get good bow lift?
Afraid to, but can i ask but how much $ does a new one cost? I checked out their website (no prices listed) But I like their return and exchange policy. I may give it a go.
    Thanks.

Price is $799 plus shipping. Prop performs great better than my 26 bravo 1.

Thanks. .. thats not as expensive as i was expecting.

... my V always did, basically pig out and will not go anywhere...when i would try a Bravo 1. Proves what i was saying that 22 Vs all seem to perform differently!

Call hydromotive and talk to Tom he will point you in the right direction on your setup. You are right not every 22 is the same every body has different setups as far as engine, setback, trim tabs etc.

Hey all. New here. Just getting my 1986 v22 up and running, learning it and working on setup. Somethings not right im hitting a wall at 54mph

its got the v8 rude on it. A power lift manual plate im going to say is 4” setback. I have its height maxed out and i still think the prop shaft is maybe just a bit below the pad. After reading setups here, alot of folk running huge setbacks and above pad heights. Also read you dont want to hang the v8 far at al
thoughts? I can only go down in height now. Prop is 14.25x26 4 blade. Not sure make

also, its a pig out of the hole. Like i highly doubt i could
