almost 10 mpg at 30 mph, but who wants to go 30?
I finally got my Merc Monitor working this year and I can now get a mpg reading. SS2000 with a 200XS ROS gen 2.
Nothing unexpected so far. I have a few more props to try and I want to try some props with people on board. Running just a bit of throttle but not planing tanks the fuel economy. I suppose I should idle through no wake zones.

That's crazy good economy. On my V-King with the 250 opti and a 29p tempest, I get a best of 8 at 40 mph or so. My reg opti 225 got right at 8.5. Using the same prop.

Ain't it great to have papa TRUMP back at the helm?

That 28 looks good, probably the best all round wheel.

Love the Optimax fuel economy. I think the 200xs is one of Mercs better motors.

I remember a BRP boat test with a 200 on a light welded alum bass boat. It got the same mpg at wot that it did at normal cruise. That was the craziest thing I have ever seen. But the best mpg was around 6 if I recall correctly. So still less than the 2.5 opti. This may be the most MPG I have ever heard of from a boat.
