Ohh, so now that you see you are wrong about the Dimbiden (lack of) administration being the instigator of the speed limit policy ... you want to turn this into the political section by calling Hannity / Fox liars about ... coal
By skipping the boat speed limit debate, i take it that is your feeble way of admitting you are / were ...... wrong again.
Let that soak in ...
As far as coal is concerned. That clip is over a week old. If you read your own post you will see that Europe is "now" kicking in 700,000,000 million euros which is
really $679,845,966.33 dollars. Which leaves the United States paying close to
$8,000,000,000.00 billion dollars to put 90,000 S. African workers out of a job.
Spending $8.00 of our money to kill off another energy industry is too much, especially if it's on the other side of the world.
Chaz = wunderin, how much of that 8 billion will get skimmed off the top .. you know, for the big guy ..

Watching the vid makes the point that the dems and THEIR other supporters were up to their necks in the scam. And we KNOW brandon gets at LEAST 10%. They know the money is in a bank cellar (off the books) in ukraine. It's the corrupt politians piggybank. This open ocean speed limit is a fine example of how stupid they really are.

Haven't read any of cuder's posts, but elsewhere there's mention of this applying to 65 feet and up. It's really 35 feet. That catches most any boat that would be used for off shore fishing. The gulf stream from Wrightsville Beach NC is about 60 miles out. How long would it take to get there?? Longer than anyone has time for.
Mercury could terminate 50% of large outboard manufacturing. Most of the large center consoles and sport CC boats are longer than 35 feet. If you ran around the ocean with the intent of hitting a whale, how long would it take to ever succeed. Probably about the same chance as winning the mega millions jackpot.Bullet CC w/ 225 Promax - Sold

So how does a U.S. rule impose a speed limit on boat up to 100 miles out? International waters.

Canada put seasonal speed limits in the St Lawrence to protect right whales as the whales are endangered. It applies to vessels greater then 13 meters and is in effect in boating season. Some zones have the speed limit all the time. Other zones are speed limited only when whales have been sighted.
Some measures to protect the whales seem to be required.Last edited by David; 12-19-2022 at 02:39 PM.

I think you left the most relevant adjective out the middle, tween'st deaf and blind ..

Newb axe's a great question:
If you ran around the ocean with the intent of hitting a whale, how long would it take to ever succeed. Probably about the same chance as winning the mega millions jackpot.
I believe the record is five whale strikes in the last fifteen years ..
Any whale that goes out of his way to run into a ship ... must be nature's way of weeding out the deaf, dumb and blind ..
If FJB were to find out that N. Korea and China would pay top dollar for the carcasses, he would issue harvesting permits to thin the heard ..

I don't know anything about whale conservation, but I know I prefer to live in a world where whales exist. There are <400 right whales left and a lot get killed by ships. But the size and type of vessel that contact the whales is not clear to me. And now for the cut and paste:
Between 20 and 35% of all whales found dead show cuts and blunt trauma consistent with a ship strike;
Ship strikes are the largest known cause of death for the endangered North Atlantic right whale, and particularly calves who have undeveloped diving capability. The risk of ship collision is now the biggest threat facing the blue whale, the largest mammal on earth; and
The vast majority of ship strikes are not reported. In fact, 42 of 292 incidents were logged only because whale carcasses were pinned to the prow of ships entering harbors.

Stop the japs and chinese from deliberate killing of ALL whale species and see a big rebound in their numbers. But that would never happen. So they try and do something totally stupid and ineffective. Same as the global
elites going to climate change meetings in a private jet. Spouting climate change and polluting all the while... And whales pinned to a ships prow? Gotta call bs on that. Have you ever seen the bulbous bows on the ships? Not something that would pin a whale.. They will say anything to get their way.

I would have just thought you were just quoting a line from The Who's .. pinball wizard ..

From Boston to the Outer Banks of N. Carolina, 100 miles out .. an idle zone, can only be virtue signaling to the lefty's base. The Easter bunny should man up and tell them that there are aprox. 90 species of Cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) in existence today.
With 300,000 of them killed each year, mostly netted by Chinese fishing boats ..
But then .. no more Xi Jinping kick backs for the Easter bunny if he points a finger ..
Once again, nature has a way of leveling the playing field. It is estimated that a minimum of 140 to a probable 200 species of Cetaceans are now extinct. Just like this Canadian goose ... ya take the good with the bad .. ehh

I think I know where they got the idea for the whale speared by the ship, to go along with the bogus chart and text ...
