Stopped by to talk with Ron Hill today and he said there might be another new boat testing at Parker to give the Nordic a run this year.
Any truth to this Racer?

Finally got 90 minutes towards the PM break in this past weekend.
We struggled with and wasted a lot of time chasing a bad Tac, bad wire to the fuel relay and a shifted shaft that lifted off the spline causing us to pull the power head again and a rain storm on Sat.
James PM felt strong. We have way to much water pressure and that's a easy fix. Felt good to finally have it on the water.
We'll be back next week to finish the break in and test setup and props for the race on the 29th

What was the issue with the tach? I have a PM that my tack seems funky, it drops some when the trim is used. at higher RPM not an issue, but lower RPM it moves and just does not seem exactly correct. Even my digital tach on my EGT's is not not working at all. Was all good and very close to each other with my 280 on the boat but 16 amp electrics on that.

We were reinstalling our Tac, Speedo and WP gauges and had no signal to the Tac or power to our holley fuel pump relay. And more confusion was added when we spun the engine over we would pop the inline fuse by the switch boxes. Chasing elect problems is not something I excel at.
For now we removed the signal wire to the fuel pump relay and will rerun a new wire next week. We have a on/off switch going directly to the battery to power the fuel pump for now so we can put hours on the engine.
We connected a old Tac and we had movement when we turn the ignition on. Must of been a quitter or we smoked it. Nevertheless we stoled a Tac out of my roundy round boat until the new one arrives this week. This is our first FI engine and it seemed to be fine when I was running around 3k and a couple jabs to 5k. Didn't notice any changes to the Tac while trimming. We are running a 16amp system. Any advise?

Got down to my Pop's river house today and got 2 more hours of break in time on the PM. Have to finish a few things on the rigging tomorrow and hope to test on Thurs. 4 days until the race.
