Photos of propeller tessting with the LCB today
Well I can tell you that the LCB is going to be a good lake/river boat. We ran a bunch of propellers 30 Drag 5, 32 Mad EFI 4 blade, 34 Mad EFI 4 blade, 32 5 blade Hering T/H, 37 Hering four blade O/H, 36 four blade Hydromotive T/H, 33 max 5, 34 max 5, Modified 36 Bravo, and 34 CNC Merc 5 blade.
The boat does different things with each but for overall everyday use, the Max 5 is smooth and comes on plane with zero shake or effort. The modified 36 Bravo ran great numbers at 111 mph @ 5400 but accel and planing performance don't make it my top choice. The 34 Merc CNC is my 2nd choice with basically the same numbers as the Bravo but its an expensive one to run for everyday river use. My first choice is the MAD EFI or the Max 5. This will be a true 110 mph rig with people and fuel. Its what I was shooting for on 87 octane and some rough water capability. Looking forward to running the Suwanee with everyone next month.

Amazing stuff Joe.
What our boats are now capable of, w/the new, available power.
Reminds me of the new muscle cars vs our old big blocks of the ‘60’s/70’s.
What used to take a race car w/a plate, we can now do w/the air on!
In our hobby, what used to take a 550 lb potato chip w/a high strung, race fuel, no low end, shut off to shift, open exhaust, perfect water etc, etc, we can now do in a 1500 lb boat w/3 friends, in chop, w/the stereo on!
In full disclosure, I can’t afford any of it but that doesn’t stop it from being baddd asss!
Congrats snd thx for sharing Joe.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I agree, a bad azz boat. Quite easy on the eyes too.....Since it planes off so well with the max 5, I would be leaning toward running it.

Its an exhaust cut out. We were experimenting on what it would do for improved planing if we took some of the exhaust pressure off the blades. It is operated on a remote servo-I have on my Tri-toon as well. They freak people out when you start and outboard and it sounds like a corvette with flowmasters on it.
