Thanks, I saw that, I'm just waiting to see if the owner wants to spend that much money. I told him that I could just reglue the magnets. If it was my outboard, I'd be calling around locally to see if I could find a bad outboard with a good flywheel. I waiting to see what he wants to do. I put out a add on the parts for sale, looking for a flywheel.

Here’s what your looking for.

There is a small notch in the reluctor ring (think that’s what it’s called) that aligns w/the paint mark.

Can look that up for you as i have the 92 and the 93 manual
but the v8 is essentialy 2 v4 stacked and offset by 45 dgr
so i think they ran a v4 flywheel with a trigger base with 8 pick-ups
guess thats why there never was quick start on the v8!
They ran out of space where to place the cold start pickups

That is still on my to do list see if a 5 volt pulse will trigger the omc thyristor
