My Dad was a letter carrier in the DC area and one of his buds was Jim Knowles , did the ramp jumps from my best memories , ask your Dad if he knew him at the Gardens. also Parker Rabe's dad skied there in those days , what a cool job

Definitely Parkers dad he stopped by the shop the last time the F1’s raced at the Gardens years back, I will ask about Jim Knowles as the name sound familiar.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Yes we built boats for 40+ years until a developer bought the property and tore it all down 10 years ago, it is still an empty lot now, the house up against the building was where many employees Woody and Camille even myself lived at one time or another.

I was at IMTEC first year Flightcraft displayed there and was the year they closed in OZ and moved to Merced.
Knew them well in OZ, the factory was not far from the Marina I worked in.
All those US skiers used to come over for our MOOMBA 3 day/night tournament.

PS we used to go water skiing at lunchtime at that marina as the VWSA had a course and a jump just up the river from us

Anyone remember the Northland Shark slalom ski? Wood ski with a concave center about 2" wide and several sharp edges milled down each side. Stiil have one but many years ago I sanded the graphics off and revarnished it. Got a pair of Dick Pope Jr's too, but didn't everyone?
