I have a honda insight hybrid that I let sit for months. It's fine. It's also running on it's original 20 year old battery.

Idk what you guys are worried about. Energy storage in EVs is super heavy, so they are not going to compete with any real performance boats unless huge changes happen in the tech. That said... I see a ton of pontoons with tiny ass little outboards that probably can't even get on plane, tooling around lakes. For putzing around at low speeds, seems like a good fit.

They've been building electric cars since 1832+- so yea

But the New Ford F-150 is MUCH better...imo
And still prefer my'18 F150 v6 twin turbo with some work fast as hell and doesn't take forever to refuel.one day that will catch up tho..

If you're just getting a vehicle to go point A to B fine but that's boring want to be able to work on it modify it DRIVE IT don't need/want self driving ...

    But to each their own
2 strokes will never go away, just the oil will. You'll have to make your own like the old days. 1 pint 10w/40 to a gallon of petrol.
As for long recharges on electric vehicles? It's gunna be, pull in to a charging station, and swap out the battery rack, 2 minutes. Same for long haul truckers. Like swapping propane grill tanks at Walmart.

So, all parents and grandparents, please buy the young children in your lives as many connect the dots books as you can. Apparently, that is a lost concept. From the slave labor that mines the Lithium, to the toxic chemical byproducts to produce the batteries and to dispose of the batteries, to the lack of "clean" power generation and distribution grid. It is nothing more than virtue signalling.
Just an analog guy trapped in a digital world.

    Lol. I love driving ****boxes.

I drive it so I can afford my other toys I bought it 8 years ago with 180k miles, now it has 280k miles, and it gets 52mpg with snow tires, and 60-70mpg with summer tires. Thing has paid for itself, weighs 1800lbs, and has a 5spd manual so it's fun to beat on. Drives a lot like a CRX, and since it's aluminum I keep the rust from all my other cars. Imma drive it into the ground... but I'm starting to worried it will never die. Leaks nothing. Needs nothing. Adjusted the valves at 275k and all were within spec, valvetrain looked new.
