Here's how things will work...
If I warn you once for personal attacks against other members, please take it seriously.
If I have to warn you twice for it, you'll be suspended for a week.
If, after that, you still insist on attacking other members, perma-ban.
Don't bother asking me why or telling me it was the other person that started it. It's all stated right here.
So simple,
Greg

Come On Members!!! Why should Greg even have to post something like this??? He's got enough on his plate than to have to Baby Sit a Bunch of Adolescent Adults that want to become Keyboard warriors and start name Calling or Personal Attacks!!! That's to be taken care of via PM or a Phone call. Not in Open Forum. We all have disagreements. But lets be Adults here and take it off the Forum from Public view.

I really appreciate it Bud. My biggest problem sometimes is that I always try to reach common ground with everyone, and some people have no such desire. From now on I’m going to just make life easier for all of us and simply remove posts in violation and suspend users without explanation. Because people on the receiving end of those measures will know exactly why they occurred.
I initially created the political forum so that such discussions would be confined to a place where it would not take place in the General Discussion or Lounge forums. At the time, I did not anticipate that section to become as active as it is now. I have made some changes to the political section thus:
The political section is now not viewable by non-registered readers of the forum. Furthermore, a registered member here must have at least 50 posts to be able to view and post in the political forum. But the same forum rules still apply there. If people can’t control themselves there the forum is getting removed.

I will volunteer for moderator of said given section. I have absolutely no feelings left to hurt and not a flying **** left to give. ......Jimmy can still suck a barrel of dicks too.

I see you're new here and we respect your opinion. That said, I think the politics forum is a great place to be able to discuss politics, but as many (including Gregg) has said, getting personal and name calling goes too far. Also, there are a number of people in there who do not contribute to the rest of the site; you check their post history and it's all politics and buy and sell posts. They are trolling and using this site to sell their junk. Gregg should ban those users since they are not here to help others out or to discuss our favorite pastime.
Our best bet is to ignore the trolls who do not want an honest discussion and maybe they will leave."One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors". Plato .

Everything has its place. Politics has its place here too. Many people here are like family on this site. I have made friends here
through the politics site and found we share much more in general as well. You cant see that. So, I am posting what good has come from it as well, not to mention what I believe is real information and not fake news. I use this site to help keep me informed about what is happening around our country. I am greatly appreciative for people's input. I feel that scream and fly would be a lesser site with it removed. People just need learn to curb their emotions a little. Thats all. Some folks here are very outspoken on what they believe and it just needs to be tempered.
Avoiding politics is the worst thing you can do for your country.
