MLB is pulling out of Atlanta because they don't like the new voting law in Georgia. Coke and Delta think it's a good idea too.POTUS agrees with their decision. What's your thoughts?

I imagine Atlanta will lose a bunch of money over this. Maybe not so much with the china flu restrictions in place, but still, money lost.

The fake news reported it was about a 200 million loss for Atlanta. Personally I think that figures too steep. I feel for all the businessmen who lost revenue because of this decision

I saw $100 million... loss from majority black city of Atlanta going to majority white city of Denver that has slightly more restrictive voting laws than the ones just passed in Atlanta.

Wouldn’t there be a contract between mlb and the braves for the all star game and if so how could they just pull it from atl without repercussions, just because a voting law changed, personally I don’t care , I played baseball from t- ball thru high school but no chance I’ll watch it now besides watching grass grow is as entertaining anymore

I have seen it quoted as low as 37 million to as high as 190 million. They are calling this total revenue for the tourism that revolves around the game, so it is really hard to estimate it. To many variables and then what do you compare it to, a normal weekend? And what exactly is that? Either way, they are going to lose a lot of revenue.
