Cant believe I just found it.

I now have even more on my list that I want to buy beer for and listen to.

After reading this thread, and being a non Merc guy, Mr Kottman is now on top of the list.

Sounds pretty salty, it could be one of two boats. The OMC on my boat was well on its way to that. I had a run where I lifted at 250 ft and the boat coasted up to 103 at 330. Flipped it about three passes after that. Lol

Fuel. Back in the old days I was the fuel tech guy for ADBA.
We did a specific gravity test and a electric test with a meter.
Was anybody cheating and getting by with it?
Probably. But we did our best.

Paul Freeman is still racing, he must have more total years than anybody, was the Pres of the Tenn Drag boat Association,then the first Pres of ODBA

When the Tenn,Alabama and DSRA formed to become ODBA

and He is one serious sport bike track rider.and all around nice Guy

David Pou is one of the few that has had success in both heads up racing and rope racing, lots of guys that were great heads up racers couldn't grasp slowing down to win.

Man this is a hard one because everyone doesn't race the same series and a lot of people on here aren't aware of other racers somewhere else in the country if this makes sense. I know David Pou is one that has been doing this for a long long time probably 40+ years and he has won a lot and I mean a lot of races but he mainly races in the south east so there may be someone just like him on the other side of the country so it's really hard to say but my bet is Dave Bush Matthew Caldwell and David Pou
