    Here is some of his cars that I know you will appreciate "so far out of my league that I don't even like to move them around when he ask me to". The 1st one is a 1970 917 LeMans, 2nd is a fully restored 935, 3rd is a 74 IROC car that Fittapaldi put on the pole and was owned by Pablo Escabar as one of his personal vintage race cars, 4th is a GT40, 5th is a Spyder. We take a few of them to the local cars and coffee once a month if he is town. These cars alone have a combined current market value of around 35M!!!

    I thought that first set of pics you posted was incredible.

    Called my chevy stealership about the new vette. 15k markup over msrp. With reserved ordering. Just like the ferd ship wanted for a GT. Or a boss stang. Nevermind chevy........I'll wait till they are on the used market to buy. I refuse to pay a dealer surcharge, or as it really should be called, a greed charge.

    Dealer markup is flat out wrong, kind of surprised the Corp. lets them do it. Good on you to wait.

    No such thing as “Corp”, dealers are independent businesses, that are free to sell at whatever price the market will bear. That’s why you can get $15k off the MSRP of an in stock 2019 today.

    MSRP = Manufactures Suggested List Price

    You also always have the option of buying from one of the “top 5”. These 5 dealers sell from 250 to 900 Corvettes each per year due to allocation. They get the allocation because they understand how to play the game and order hundreds of Corvettes a year, even when they aren’t demanding a premium and will begin discounting them within the first model year of a new series and rarely ever charge more than MSRP, even on day one of a new series. I did hear GM was thinking of modifying the allocation system but I haven’t stayed up to date.

    The top 5 are;
    Kerbeck, MacMulkin, Criswell, Bomnin and Les Stanford.

    I bought my last new one from Les Stanford in Michigan. Big time dealer for sure and were very straight forward to deal with . I was told a number, showed up with a check and drove off 30 minutes later. I have not had the same experience with any other dealer unless they are a personal friend.

    I bought my C7 from Les Stanford. They were one of the first dealers with allocation to accept GM supplier pricing on the C7. Did the entire deal over the phone and with FedEx and picked it up at the museum when it was built. It was a very easy deal.

    Had three Vette's by my 21st birthday, 69 coupe was my favorite, like sitting high now as in diesel pick up and diesel van,

    Back in 1972 I went to the Watkins Glen Grand Prix, stayed with the Corvette Corral group for safety--they burned cars and buses for fun back then , the BOG

    As I was stopping to pick up a photographer for the parade before the race, I saw Graham Hill standing further down pit road, I had a 1970 convertible with header side

    pipes, dark green as in

    British racing green, so I tromped on it and with a BIG SMILE I picked up two time world champ Graham Hill to sit on the rear as we went around the race course, when he

    shook my hand his felt like steel, I wear 3xl gloves, as we drove around the Watkins Glen Grand Prix course it was like I had Jesus Christ in the car, people would stand up in

    waves , paying respect to a legend, he die a few years later landing a plane in fog,

    He was the ONLY driver to win the Triple Crown of Motorsports, 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indianapolis 500 and Monaco Grand Prix, 2 time Formula 1 champion.

    Oh I wish I had the extra $ the new Vette is the REAL thing now, as in GM is giving you world class for dirt cheap, KUDOS.
